Welcome to Texas Handcrafted Shutters, your family-owned and operated custom shutter experts serving Katy, Fulshear, Houston, Spring, The Woodlands and the surrounding areas for over 15 years. We also serve the greater San Antonio and Austin markets as well. Window treatments can add the perfect touch to your home, blending style and functionality. We offer a number of quality window covering options including the shutters we make right here in Katy, Texas to perfectly complement your home's interior design.

Our staff has a combined experience of more than 150 years. Over 20 skilled workers are responsible for manufacturing. We work hard to retain our employees and be part of our family as we provide good paying jobs for them and their families.

Owner and operator Rick Sukolics began manufacturing shutters in his garage from start to finish in 2008. We operate a 15,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Katy Texas, with additional facilities in San Antonio Texas. Aslan Sukolics, his daughter, runs the daily operations and manages the staff. Rick is constantly working to improve the manufacturing, IT, and material handling infrastructure. He also takes care of financial accounting and capital investment analysis.

About Katy

Katy is a city in the U.S. state of Texas within the Greater Katy area, itself forming the western part of the Greater Houston metropolitan area. Homes and businesses may have Katy postal addresses without being in the City of Katy. The city of Katy is approximately centered at the tripoint of Harris, Fort Bend, and Waller counties. Katy had a population of 21,894 at the 2020 U.S. census, up from 14,102 in 2010. First formally settled in the mid-1890s, Katy was a railroad town along the Missouri–Kansas–Texas (MKT) Railroad which ran parallel to U.S. Route 90 (today Interstate 10) into downtown Houston.
