Texas Handcrafted Shutters is a family-owned and operated company that has been serving Katy, Fulshear Houston, Spring, The Woodlands, and the surrounding area for over 15 Years. We also serve the greater San Antonio and Austin markets as well. Window treatments add just the right touch to your home' s aesthetics, creating a seamless transition between practicality and style. We offer a variety of window coverings, including shutters that we manufacture right here in Katy.

We have a staff with combined experience of over 150 years. Our manufacturing is done by a skilled and safety conscience staff of over 20 workers. We work hard to retain our employees and be part of our family as we provide good paying jobs for them and their families.

Owner and Operator Rick Sukolics started manufacturing shutters from start to finish in his garage in 2008. We now operate a 15,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Katy, Texas with additional facilities in San Antonio, Texas. Aslan Sukolics, his daughter, runs the daily operations and manages the staff. Rick is constantly working to improve the manufacturing, IT, and material handling infrastructure. He also takes care of financial accounting and capital investment analysis.

happy with window upgrades

My wife and I met the Katy Plantations team at the February 2020 San Antonio home show and we were impressed with the quality of the product. We saved their card till we were ready and called them a couple of weeks ago. The shutters were installed today and I am so happy with both the shutters and the installation. Measurement to install was only a couple of weeks and they look great. They are also priced competitively. We were concerned with the curve/eye brow in the second picture and the sizing in the third. Again, these are custom shutters made by professionals so it was nice to see how they worked with our environment and really upgraded the home. Hopefully by now you can tell we recommend Katy Plantations. Not only do you get great shutters but you also get to support a Texas business. I mentioned Katy Plantations in my flooring review and thought I should comment on the flooring company. The flooring was done by Hicks Carpet One on Broadway (San Antonio). You can read my review there but in summary, we couldn't be more pleased with the entire project.
